There are many great people in history, but only a
handful who have achieved big endeavours in two completely different fields of
pursuit. In this talk, Brad Borkan, a Fellow of the Royal
Geographical Society, explains how Brunel, Amundsen and Roosevelt dealt with
hardships, overcame obstacles and silenced the many naysayers who exclaimed,
“It can’t be done.” Focusing specifically on Isambard Kingdom Brunel, Brad will
reveal lessons and strategies from Brunel’s life and work that you can use to
improve your own modern-day life and career.
