Join us at the Brunel Museum this summer for National Playday 2026, a free family event celebrating play, creativity, and the remarkable engineering legacy of Marc and Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
Inspired by the history of the Thames Tunnel, families can enjoy a programme of hands-on activities exploring bridges, railways, tunnels, and Victorian life. Activities will take place across the Museum, including bridge-building challenges, traditional Victorian games, a garden scavenger hunt, creative construction in the historic Tunnel Shaft, and family-friendly tours telling the story of the Thames Tunnel.
Visitors are welcome to bring a picnic and relax in the Museum’s lower garden throughout the day.
Playday is the UK’s national day for play, celebrating the importance of play in children’s lives and communities.
