We’re going full throttle into the science behind racing cars in this family-friendly stage show with TV engineer and pyrotechnician, Fran Scott. – exploring the processes, shape, and materials that make them such a feat of engineering.
Throughout the show, you -the audience- will get the chance to help Fran decide how to create the perfect eco-racing car, with plenty of fascinating demonstrations (and an awful lot of mess) along the way!

About the author:
Fran Scott is best known for her often fiery demonstrations on the CBBC hit show ‘Absolute Genius with Dick and Dom’, though she has also appeared on our screens as a guest reporter on Newsround, on BBC Bitesize and as the Engineering judge on Channel 4’s UK Lego Masters.
Fran also presents programmes for adults, and is an expert on Abandoned Engineering, and host of Green Tech-focussed podcasts for Robotics firm, ABB.
In 2023, Fran’s debut book ‘How to Build a Racing Car’ was released, hitting the number spot in several categories on Amazon. Her second book ‘How to Build aRocket’ is released in August 2024.
Fran is also a proud Trustee of the Brunel Museum.
