Tours, Talks and Open Days

May Day

Tuesday 12 May

18.30-21.00

Following the success of our Wassail event in January, the Belles of London City return to the Brunel Museum to usher in Spring.

Join them on the piazza for show dances, plus a chance to get involved yourself!

Dressed in trademark red and white stays, the Belles have delighted audiences around the country with vibrant and energetic Cotswold Morris since 2009. Traditional folk rhythms, high jumping, audience participation and general horseplay mix to deliver a toe-tappingly infectious dance spectacle.

Morris Dancing is a style of traditional English folk dance. The Belles dance Cotswold Morris, which is characterised by bells worn on the legs, and hankie and stick dances. The dances that we perform today were primarily collected in the Cotswolds in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

After you’ve worked up a  thirst, treat yourself to a drink in our beautiful roof garden!
