The Brunel Museum Publishes its 2025 Research, Public History, and Science Outreach Report

Today, the Brunel Museum published its annual Research, Public History, and Science Outreach report, detailing its activities in these areas.

The Research, Public History, and Science Outreach Report 2025 can be accessed here.

Alongside the Museum’s French Revolution season and a number of student placements offering experience in research and working in the Museum sector, 2025 saw engagement with a range of new audiences while continuing to develop several longer-term activities.

Brunel Museum Director Katherine McAlpine notes in her introduction that “2025 was another brilliant year for the Museum’s research, public history, and science outreach,” with particularly strong records of volunteer-led research and media impact as part of the 200th anniversary of work beginning on the Thames Tunnel in 1825.

The Brunel Museum is grateful to all those who have supported its work over the last year, and looks forward to continuing into the future with a range of activities and programmes, to deepen its work and to develop new partnerships locally, nationally, and internationally.
