Weekend Front of House Volunteers

Weekend Front of House Volunteers

The Brunel Museum is dedicated to the Thames Tunnel – one of the greatest Victorian engineering achievements and the first successful underwater tunnel in the world. Our volunteers are crucial to the Museum’s success and to ensuring visitors have an enjoyable and interesting experience. They lead on welcoming visitors, helping with their enquiries, selling tickets and showing them the exciting products on offer in our shop.

This is a unique opportunity to gain meaningful, developmental experience to further explore your interest in the arts, while exploring what a career in the sector might look like. We’ll provide training in using the Museum’s systems, in Gift Aid, and in engaging visitors.

Help us build our visitor welcome, all while gaining practical experience within an accredited Museum!

Your duties will include:

  • Selling tickets and merchandise
  • Welcoming visitors and helping with enquiries about the Museum
  • Raising awareness of the value of Gift Aid to the Museum
